In her newest book, Pat Miller explores the role and benefits of play between you and your dog - and between dogs.
Dog Smart by Nina Ottosson
The Dog Smart is a fairly easy game for your dog to play and is a great way to introduce beginners to the Nina range of games. Hide treats under the hollow white plastic blocks so your dog has to look for them by trying to lift or push away one block after the other with its nose or paw.
Note: This game is an interactive game designed for you and your dog to play together. Your dog should not be left to play with the game without supervision.
Learn MoreDog Spinny by Nina Ottosson
Hide some treats in the depressions under the rotating discs. Your dog has to remove the single bone in order to then turn the disc with its paw or nose to find the goodies hidden below through the hole in the rotating disc.
You can vary the difficulty in accessing treats from the Dog Spinny by reducing the number of treats available. Your dog will then have to work harder to retrieve the treats.
This game is tough, hard-wearing, washable and has non-slip feet on the bottom.
Note: The Dog Spinny is an interactive game designed for you and your dog to play together. Your dog should not be left to play with the game without supervision.
Learn MoreDog Tornado by Nina Ottosson
Dog Tornedo has four layers of rotating discs and has a higher degree of difficulty. Dog Tornedo has three layers, in which there are compartments where treats can be hidden. After dislodging the removeable bones, your dog has to figure out how to rotate the different layers in different directions with its nose or paw in order to find the hidden goodies.
You can vary the difficulty in accessing treats from the Dog Tornedo as your dog's skills at using the game improve.
This game is tough, hard-wearing, washable and has non-slip feet on the bottom.
Note: Dog Tornedo is an interactive game designed for you and your dog to play together. Your dog should not be left to play with the game without supervision.

Learn MoreDog Finder by Nina Ottosson
New! With Dog Finder your dog will learn to look for treats by moving blocks with its paw or nose in four different directions. The block can only be lifted at the end of each track. Under the block there are hollows where treats can be hidden. You can place 1 or 2 blocks in each track. Increase the degree of difficulty by using more blocks in each track.
Dog Finder is a great way to make a training session fun! Teach your dog to understand words like: wait, go ahead, back off, find it, etc, while you are playing the game. To teach your dog to use his nose (or if he is only using his paw to move the blocks), put the game on a chair appropriate to the size of your dog. This is also helpful if your dog has an injured paw or has limited mobility. Great for elderly dogs!
Note: Dog Finder is an interactive game designed for you and your dog to play together. Your dog should not be left to play with the game without supervision.
Learn MoreDog Casino by Nina Ottosson
The Dog Casino is for very clever canines and has a high degree of difficulty. Your dog needs to figure out how to pull out the flaps in different directions in order to find the treats. In each flap there is a compartment where treats can be hidden.
Increase the degree of difficulty by locking the flaps using the bone-shaped pegs on top. Your dog must then work out how to lift out the pegs in order to pull out the flaps and get the treats!
You can also place the Dog Casino on a stool or chair which is adapted to the size of the dog and attach a piece of string to teh flaps, which the dog needs to pull in order to open the flaps. A great source of stimulation for your dog and a fun game for both of you to play together and excellent for older or less mobile dogs.
Note: The Dog Casino is an interactive game designed for you and your dog to play together. Your dog should not be left to play with the game without supervision.
Learn MoreDog Twister by Nina Ottosson
The Dog Twister requires your dog to learn to look for treats by moving one block after another around in a circle in different directions. There are hollows under the blocks where the treats can be hidden.
To increase the degree of difficulty, the blocks can also be locked in position with pegs in holes around the up-side of the game. Your dog learns to unplug the blocks by lifting the pegs one by one in order to be able to move the blocks and find the treats. You can also hide treats under all the pegs. Wow - what a challenge!
Teach your dog words like wait, go ahead, go back, find it, sit, etc, while you are playing with the Dog Twister.
Note: This game is an interactive game designed for you and your dog to play together. Your dog should not be left to play with the game without supervision.
Learn MoreChase! - Managing Your Dog's Predatory Instincts by Clarissa von Reinhardt
Almost every dog has some degree of prey drive — it’s in his genes — some more than others. You may experience it when your otherwise well mannered dog suddenly takes off chasing after a rabbit, squirrel, or a jogger. The old approach to solving this problem involved the use of “corrective” devices like choke chains and electronic fences. A better approach includes training and management techniques that reward your dog for choosing to focus on and stay near you, the owner.
Learn MoreThe Focused Puppy by Deborah Jones & Judy Keller
This book integrates the authors’ FOCUS (Fun, Obedience, Consistency, Unbelievable Success) Training System techniques with the developmental stages and specific needs of pups and young dogs.
